the bed broke apart under the drawers after 4 months. My 30lb son was sleeping on it and my 175lb husband sat on the end of the daybed and it broke in two. For the price it should hold over 200lbs. My father-in-law, who is a master carpenter said that the bottom rail was cut wrong and that the bed has a very poor design from a structural standpoint.

Considering this bed cost over 600 dollars and was brand new, we contacted both Home Styles and Amazon to see if we could get a replacement part. We didn't think this was an unreasonable request, but Home Styles only sends replacements within the 30 day return period, no matter what. They said there was nothing they could do for us. Amazon also responded that they only had a 30 day return policy, completely ignoring our request to get HomeStyles to back their product. It seemed like it was an automated response. When we purchased this bed it was "SHIPPED AND SOLD BY AMAZON."

I understand 30 day return policies - but how does that apply to this situation? We don't want to return it! BEDS are supposed to last for years!!!!!!

600 dollars wasted. We should have bought from target or Ikea. I though I was getting quality by spending more. BIG MISTAKE

My father-in-law will fix the bottom rail, but the finish will never be the same. We can't replicate the factory finish. What HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE from both AMAZON and HOME STYLES.
