First let me say that I like the unit. It is well made and is of noticeably better quality than the typical home units that sell in the $100 to $200 range (as it should be!). It was pretty easy to install and included everything needed to install it except the pipe to mount it on. I will not repeat all the features here because you can read about them in the product description. As to it's accuracy I can only say that it is probably as close as any but it's hard to know what the "correct" reading is for the various functions. Since I have only just installed it I cannot attest to it's durability because only time will tell. Now to it's deficiencies! The instructions are horrible and terribly lacking! I am an engineer and know how to read and follow instructions but when the information is not there it is hard to follow. After mounting the unit I could not get the outside readings to show up on the console. Trying to follow the instructions for "pairing" was difficult because they did not show which switch they were talking about. It mentioned a "0" and "1" position on it for being on or off but the only switch I could find that might be the correct one did not have a "1" or "0" on it until I looked very carefully down under it and then found half of those digits showing on the circuit board. Only then was I able to make it read out! The read out on the console could use a little more contrast but I have found no adjustment for that. The decimal points are very tiny and when reading such things as the wind speed it is very difficult to determine whether it is 1.6 mph or 16 mph!
When I was having difficulty getting it to work I thought I would call customer service. NO WAY!It is very emphatically stated NOT TO USE the only phone number listed in the owners manual for customer service or tech advice. Instead it refers you to the website for a customer service phone number. When I went to their website I found no phone number but only an email form to fill out and maybe they will call you back someday!! What a way to deal with the person who just spent a ton of money for their product!! They seemed to be saying "don't bother us!" So I managed to get it up and running myself and can only hope I never need their customer service!
So the product is good...the manufacturer is sadly lacking in skills at writing instruction manuals or customer support! I guess this product is an example of where "buyer beware" would be good advice to follow.
