We purchased this item last summer for our new covered deck. I never drank morning coffee in the house again until the weather got too chilly. I pull up another chair to put my feet up and then lean way back in these. I pull the seat cushion out just enough to let the back cushion slip down, then use the lumbar pillow on top for my head and neck. Sublime. The table is spacey enough for four people to enjoy a meal in comfort. It is not difficult to put this unit together, but it does take time. There were 2 of us and it took about an hour. They do give you 2 of those little screw driver thingies which helps. I get lots of complements for this beautiful combo. I'm pretty sure the wicker is part natural and part synthetic. I was surprised at that, but I think it will be very durable, as I don't plan to use this set anywhere that is not covered from rain and sun, and I wouldn't suggest it. Our deck is 12 feet wide, which is just right for this set, but I wouldn't buy it for a 10 foot or smaller deck, because the chairs don't slide far under the table and it really does eat space.
