I purchased this product as a Christmas present for my wife. The price and size of the unit was perfect.

The waterfall was shipped to me (unassembled) with three layers of broken horizontal slats at the top near the light. I did expect to assemble it, just didn't expect to do immediate repair work. Plus, once I had it assembled, it was going to be an extreme pain to take it apart and ship back. I figured since I have the ability to fix things like this, I can do my own simple repairs.

I glued the top slats back on, but this caused the water to run over the top and out the back and also down the light cord shaft. I then removed one layer of slats and used a putty weatherseal to line the top as to restrict water overflow around the sides and back. I also used the putty to seal the light cord shaft. The lid rested on this perfectly and the water went where it was supposed to go - out the front.

Also, a slow water leak was occurring out the upper back where the tube connects to the upper reservoir (from where the water flows downward), but I was able to use a sealant on it and make it stop.

All this worked great for about a month. The waterfall looked and sounded great. Very relaxing.

Now, however, the waterfall has leaks coming out of the upper side and upper back from within the plaster. The sealant procedure I used before does not stop it. It just springs a leak somewhere else. I really did not plan for this to be an extended project. Ironically, instead of having purchased a product that was meant to provide relaxation, it now only provides us stress.

If anyone decides to purchase this, I hope you have a better experience than we did. I will be contacting Lamps Plus soon to see what my options are (exchange or return for a refund).
