I got 2 of those (red/blue and pink plaid) for those spring/summer nights when comforter is too warm, but it is still nice to have something. I am very happy with it - the quality is outstanding, nice blankets made in USA in Oregon. They keeps us warm at night, but no overheating. It is little on the scratchy side, but nothing I wouldn't expect from wool - I actually expected it to be more scratchy. I use them with duvet cover, so either way, it is not a problem for me. I haven't washed it yet, cannot comment on that part. Red/Blue color is gorgeous and vibrant, perfect for a guy. Pink plaid is pretty too, though colors are way more muted.
