OK this is a nice table. It went together easy and the pieces fit. There are extra holes in some of the mounting boards but I believe they call that mass production and having a part fit several items. I would also like to say that CEVA did a wonderful job shipping it and calling before delivering and delivering the item when they said they would. Now for the complaint. A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS, so why does the picture show a 9 piece set, yet the seller is only selling the table. Ok I know that as a consumer it is my job to read and I did but again why use the picture with the chairs instead of marking out the chairs. If I ever buy from this vendor again I will make sure that I read everyline of the description. This was as close to a bait and switch as you can get without actually using the bait and switch.

I just ordered a beautiful new queen sized Stearns & Foster Hotel Collection Classic Cushion Firm Euro Pillow Top mattress from Macy's, and I figured I would get a new bed to go along with my new mattress. But, since the mattress was more than I had originally planned on spending, I had to look for a lower priced bed.
I chose this one because it looked nice and like it would go with almost anything. To me, the picture of it on the website looked like a very dark silver, almost like a pewter.
Well, it is actually black. No mahogany, no gold. I have NO idea why those colors are in the title of this bed! It is still nice though, just not what I expected. It still goes with the other furniture and things in my bedroom. It is plain, yet a bit "dainty". It is fine for the price.
If you are looking for a black bed that is adequate and not too fancy, this bed will be just fine.
On another note, after I ordered this bed, I continued to look around just for the heck of it. I actually found this exact same bed EVERYWHERE. This is a very popular bed. I found it at at least 8-10 other places. All MUCH lower than the "original" price at Macy's. But, I got it on sale, which was right in line with the other websites "regular" prices.

SINGER HD-110 Heavy Duty Model Sewing Machine Review

Uhm...no. Sorry guys, back to the drawing board on this machine. It is absolutely riddled with design flaws and I must agree with another reviewer: Singer is NOT the company it once was, certainly not the company that has been used and trusted in my family for over 80 years. There is NOTHING (I repeat, NOTHING) heavy-duty about this machine. Basically, this is a standard grade home sew machine, repackaged to look "industrial" with a beefed-up, clutch style motor. Though this machine is very fast (as fast as most industrial machines) it does not have the pressure in the presser foot nor the power in the feed mechanism to support the motor speed. With the slightest resistance, the motor will race away, producing stitches while your work remains stationary under the presser foot. Though the variable needle position is handy, it is very unstable. The slightest pull dislodges the needle position (even with the needle at its lowest point)producing uneven stitch length and unpredictable stitch position. Needless to say, top stitching produced by this machine in anything heavier than cotton broadcloth is appalling. Just forget sewing with wool melton or any other cloth that has substantial loft. Because of insufficient foot pressure, this machine skips in heavy fabrics and leaves clumps of unused thread on the bobbin side. And speaking of bobbins...who would use a Type 66 bobbin in what is called a heavy duty machine? Yes, the drop-in bobbin is very convenient but the Type 66 requires constant re-threading. It's simply not a bobbin with high enough capacity for large or heavy jobs. I agree with a previous reviewer: the accessories included with this "heavy duty" machine are a joke. The spot-weld on the general purpose foot broke within the first week of use. It is now held together with crazy glue because I dread calling Singer for a replacement. The so-called zipper foot is a half inch piece of plastic encased in something resembling tin foil. Also broken. When I received my machine, the accessory package, foot pedal, power cords, warranty and owners manual were missing from the box. It took three weeks to get them. The owners manual was back ordered for over 8 weeks. Is no one at Singer nimble-minded enough to scan the manual and make it available as a PDF download? Perhaps the most frustrating thing about this machine is that, at the $200.00 plus price point, it does not include features available on Singer's entry level machine, Singer Simple. The Simple model includes variable foot pressure (which is easily tightened using the enclosed screw driver) or the extra inch of clearance under the presser foot, VERY handy for heavier projects. Honestly, I tried to return this machine two weeks after purchase but neither the supplier nor Singer would take it back. Singer has the worst customer service department I have ever encountered and...well...just skip the website. It is woefully inadequate. Two thumbs down!

Home Styles 9100-1042 Create-a-Cart 9100 Series Cuisine Cart with Stainless Steel Top, Black, 52-1/2-Inch Review

This is a very nice piece. It's solid (meaning a good weight). Assembly will take a whole morning or afternoon. Took two of us about 3.5 hours (including some errors). Comes in two boxes and both are very heavy. Put down a tarp so that after Fedex leaves you can slide the boxes around without lifting.

Some tips:
1. Assemble the base first.
2. As you add the inside walls for the drawers, make certain the drawer rails are facing the correct way. We went by the picture and that was wrong. The wheels on the rails face the back of the unit. Trust me; we all discussed it, and then went with the picture then had to take it apart (which was fairly easy - thank goodness).
3. The "F" bars were difficult to align with the back boards; but that may have been because we had those drawer rails facing the wrong way.
3. We suggest that you put on the towel and spice rack just before you are ready to put on the cross bars for the marble top. Makes tightening some of the screws easier.
4. One of our door hinges is defective/warped and makes the door pop open. Was going to ask the maker to send us new hinges, but instead we took the magnets from the bottom of one of our replacement Sonicare toothbrushes (the strongest little magnets you can find) and that keeps it shut.

Some measurements you may want to consider:
A. Inside drawers are small: 10 3/8" wide by 11 1/2" long. The small drawers are 3" deep and the bottom drawer is 8.5" deep.
B. The usable shelf space is 13" wide by 12" deep. One adjustable height shelf per cabinet. Would have liked one more.

We are happy with the piece. It is not deep - not going to put a toaster or anything like that on it but it's a great workspace. We really like it. Would be 5 stars if they hadn't messed up that picture and given us a bad hinge. At the time of purchase we paid 441 dollars. At the time of this review the price has gone up significantly on Amazon - you can find it at least 50 dollars cheaper elsewhere. Happy hunting.

Sanitaire SC5815B Commercial Quite Upright Bagged Vacuum Cleaner with Tools and 10 Amp Motor, 15" Cleaning Path Review

For at least five years, I have used a Hoover Windtunnel Supreme vacuum. And for as long, I have disliked it. It's tools would easily fall out of their cradle during normal use, it's power cord had thin, easy-to-damage insulation, the power cord was easy to step on the way it was routed, and the vacuum would fall over easily when using the hand tools. My Hoover Windtunnel Supreme vacuum is an annoying example of poor engineering. Finally I decided enough was too much, and just bought a Sanitaire SC5815. What a relief. So far, I like this vacuum because:

* It has a long, well-made power cord. The power cord is routed such that it is easy to keep out of the way
* It is quiet
* It's tools stay in place. It's long crevice tool nests inside a single extension tube. The long crevice tool can be combined with the extension tube thereby eliminating the need for a second extension tool (as implemented by the Hoover).
* When the handle is in the vertical position, the beater brush is automatically lifted off the floor so that the machine does not scrub in place when the hand tools are used.
* The suction is great

This machine cost about $75 more than the Hoover (if you do your Internet research), and well worth the difference.

*** Update: 04/21/2010 ***

This machine is still functioning well. I just now changed the drive belt, and I waited much too long to do so. I should have changed it a couple years ago. The belt had been slipping for some time now and I had not noticed until after I changed it. The slippage was do to normal belt wear and was not a fault of this great machine's design.
