Sleep Master - 6" Smooth Top Therapuetic Memory Foam Mattress - King Review

I'm a twenty-something in a city with a high cost of living. I move every time the rent goes up. So i usually buy a mattress that will last me 1-2 years and then when i move it goes to the curb/craigslist. This means that my price range for mattress shopping is around $150. The last one i had was an Ikea Sultan mattress. It became increasingly uncomfortable in a matter of months. This new mattress- the Sleep Master- was about $40 more, but with free shipping it ends up being the same price as the ikea sultan + shipping. The Sleep Master 6" is absolutely amazing for the price. It's only been a month, but my quality of sleep has actually increased. As a side sleeper, i feel supported much more than with spring mattresses or the old ikea mattress. I've yet to see how age will affect it, but if anything changes, i'll be sure to update my review.

Eight months since purchase and i stand by my review. This mattress is still very comfortable, hasn't lost its shape or firmness in any noticeable way. I have machine-washed both the interior and exterior covers a few times and they have not shrunk. I'm very happy with this purchase! It's an incredible quality for the price.

3pc Princeton Tri-Tone Burgundy Leather Sofa Loveseat & Recliner Chair Set Review

I received this furniture on Thursday-two days late, but four days ahead of the most recent info I had from the shipping company. The driver/delivery guy called when he was 20 minutes from my home, until then I wasn't expecting delivery for another four days.(Fortunately, I was in my office; I do some of my work in people's homes; I can be up to 50 miles away from my house.) That's the bad news on delivery. The guy brought the furniture into my garage, but no further. All that was promised was curbside, so I figured I was doing good on that end.

The furniture was very, very well packaged, there was zero damage to the furniture. The furniture itself is beautiful. The set I received is most definitely NOT purple. I would call it primarily a dark burgundy. It is though, a tri-tone--it is brown at it's base and has reddish shades and deeper-than-brown shades to it. I love it; it is exactly what I hoped it would be in researching the color, but the photo makes it look more brown and lighter in color than it is. At least this is true of the furniture that I received. Each piece is comfortable and my living room now smells like leather!

The cushions do not remove and cannot be flipped, which I would have preferred, but I couldn't tell this from the photo or the description and at this price point it would not have been a deal breaker. The legs are black wood, (not plastic).
The seat on the love seat is 20 inches deep and the seat on the sofa is 21 inches deep. The seat is 18 inches high on both the love seat and sofa.

In spite of the delivery problems, I am giving five stars because the furniture is so very nice. I contacted the seller twice regarding the delivery issues and they were polite and responsive. I do live in the middle-of-nowhere, which may have complicated delivery; if this is the case, the seller may wish to address this with the carrier they use.

Berkey CRN8X2-BB Crown Water Purification System with 2 Black Elements Review

I ordered the Crown Berkey last year and have been using it since then.

It arrived within the specified time in great condition. I had ordered 2 additional black ceramic filters to use in the Berkey and those arrived in the same package as well.
It is so easy to assemble..I had it together in less than half an hour.
No electricity required for the Berkey to do its job and those ceramic filters last for years with minimal cleanup required every few months.

The water from the Berkey definitely tastes better than water straight from the tap.

It is easy to refill...although I don't have a sink hose that can be used to add water directly to the Berkey, it is no problem using a jug to add water.
Since I have the Berkey kept on my kitchen counter, it is not possible to look into the chamber from above unless I hop onto a chair or something but instead, I just hold the reflective lid above the Berkey to see what the water level is at.

The Berkey has already paid itself off. I don't understand how people can continuously buy those gallon bottled water seeing that it all adds up expense wise and also all that plastic is detrimental to the environment.
Also, who knows whether that bottled water actually lives up to the claims on the labels.

I just need to get 2 Fluoride filters to add into the Berkey and then I will be all set.
Everyone should own a Berkey.

Real Flame Chateau Electric Corner Fireplace in Dark Walnut Finish Review

The fireplace is almost everything I wanted. The only think missing is the real sound of a fireplace and I have added a Woodwick candle on the mantle to get the desired effect. Do ASK for the assembly instructions. II held me back a week for the enjoyment of my fireplace. My cats LOVE to cuddle in front of it just like the Night Before Christmas!. Once I got the instructions,, even me, a no DIY gal, was able to put it together and I enjoyed doing so I recommend this for its ambiance and for the opportunity to put your Xmas garland and lights on the mantle after it is assembled.
